Job Summary
As a Warehouse Janitor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe working environment within our warehouse facility. You will be responsible for performing various cleaning and janitorial tasks to ensure the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the warehouse. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will contribute to the smooth operation of our warehouse.
Duties & Responsibilities
Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing all areas of the warehouse, including offices, break rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
Trash Removal: Empty and dispose of trash and recycling materials from designated areas, ensuring proper disposal procedures are followed.
Floor Maintenance: Maintain and clean floors by using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals. Report any damage or safety hazards.
Restroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize restrooms regularly, restock supplies, and report any maintenance issues or needed repairs.
Window Cleaning: Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces to maintain a clean and presentable appearance.
Inventory Control: Assist in maintaining janitorial supplies and report when supplies need replenishment.
Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergency situations, such as spills or accidents, by following established procedures.
Communication: Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Manager promptly.
Teamwork: Collaborate with other members of the facilities team and provide assistance as needed for special projects or tasks.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous janitorial or cleaning experience in a warehouse or industrial setting is a plus.
Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Dependability and a strong work ethic.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
