The Oakbrook-based law firm of Costello Sury & Rooney serves clients throughout Metropolitan Chicago, Northwest Indiana, and beyond. Our practice is concentrates on representing real estate-based individuals and corporations, including community associations, real estate owners, operators, and developers, as well as other for-profit corporations.
We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious licensed Illinois attorney with 1-5 years of experience to join our team. Newly licensed attorneys are encouraged to apply. The position offers a great deal of variety, including appearing in court regularly representing clients in all aspects of prosecuting eviction matters and providing general counsel to both not-for-profit community associations and for-profit corporations. The ideal candidate is eager to advance in their legal career, detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, and is proactive and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel to community associations and for-profit corporations.
- Represent clients in court for eviction proceedings.
- Represent housing providers in municipal, state, and administrative courts throughout the state.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
- Offer legal opinions concerning the construction of corporate documents.
- Collaborate with other legal professionals and support staff.
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.
- Indiana licensure a plus.
- 1-5 years of relevant legal experience.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a car and be willing to travel as needed.
