Responsibilities
- Perform rough and finish carpentry on commercial construction projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and layout information.
- Perform framing, blocking, backing, trim, doors, hardware, and other carpentry work.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials accurately.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist with demolition, layout, installation, and general construction activities as needed.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and jobsite procedures.
- Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and other members of the construction team.
- Maintain tools and equipment and report damaged or unsafe equipment.
- Complete assigned work efficiently while meeting project schedules.
- Perform additional construction duties as directed by the project superintendent or foreman.
- Previous carpentry or commercial construction experience preferred.
- Knowledge of framing, finish carpentry, and general construction practices.
- Ability to read construction drawings and perform accurate measurements.
- Proficiency with common hand and power tools.
- Ability to work safely at heights and in varying jobsite conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- OSHA or other construction safety training is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry construction materials and equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work for extended periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding construction tasks.
