Quality Engineers are core delivery team members responsible for the validation of functional and nonfunctional requirements implemented by a team. They are responsible for decomposing the functional and technical requirements created by Product Owners and Systems Analysts into test scripts. Quality Engineers raise defects as issues are identified and support the remediation process with teams.
Costco Travel is looking for a dedicated and experienced Software Quality Engineer to join its Online Member Experience quality team. This Quality Engineer will be responsible for leading several SDETs and QAEs across multiple scrum teams.

ROLE
● Defines the testing strategy and approach to validate new or enhanced functionality implemented by teams
● Collaborates with team members to decompose functional and nonfunctional requirements into test scripts and scenarios
● Develops functional test plans for complex systems.
● Tests required code changes while working closely with developers and product owners.
● Designs and develops high quality test automation, from which others can create repeatable automated tests.
● Generates API Level Automation using various technologies and tools.
● Analyzes, identifies, and validates functional aspects of a shared service, supporting multiple downstream systems.
● Raises the standards for QA practices and stays up-to-date with the latest technologies both in the Company and industry and utilizes them to good effect.
REQUIRED
● 1-3 years of current and demonstrable experience as an SDET in API/UI.
● 1-3 years of automation and testing experience with XML and web-based SOAP/RESTful services.
● 1-3 years of current design and development experience in Java or C#.
● Minimum 1 year of development experience in any scripting language.
● Minimum 1 year of experience with Microsoft SQL and/or Transact-SQL.
● Minimum 1 year of experience with backend testing writing SQL queries and testing Stored Procedures.
● Proficient with Agile testing methodologies and best practices in an SDET role.
● Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to work both independently and within a close team environment.
● Computer Science and engineering skills and equivalent experience.
Recommended
● Appreciation for CI/CD and DevOps.
● Experience working with Maven, Git, JDBC, Splunk.
● Experience in Unit Testing frameworks like Junit/TestNG.
● Experience with UI automation tools, ideally Selenium Web Driver.
● Testing and automation experience MS VSTS technology stack including TFS, MTM, and Lab Center.
● Tomcat/Apache knowledge.
● Travel industry knowledge.
● Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
● Proficient in Microsoft Workspace applications, including Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Pay Ranges:
Level 2 - $105,000 - $135,000
Level 3 - $130,000 - $160,000
