Cashier / Sales Associate

Cost.U.Less is looking to hire a PART-TIME CASHIER- a minimum of 20 hours a week with OPEN AVAILABILITY (Shifts will vary from opening to closing, weekday or weekends). All candidates should be self-motivating, able to work independently, as well as being a team player.

Responsibilities:

• Handle cash, credit or check transactions with customers
• Scan goods and collect payments
• Ensure pricing is correct
• Issue change and receipts
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
• Make sales referrals, cross-sell products, and introduce new ones
• Greet customers when entering or leaving establishment
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
• Keep reports of transactions
• Answer customers' questions and get a manager if answer doesn't solve the issue
• Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfaction
• Be able to stand 5 to 8 hours at the register
• If scheduled to close, cleaning chores are assigned to do
• Should also be creative and adaptable to changing demands.
  
  

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  
  

Must be able to lift 50lbs - shifts will vary - competitive wages.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.70 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
