Tooling Engineer 5+ years exp

We have an immediate opening in our Solon, OH headquarters for a qualified Mold Tooling and Process Engineer.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Evaluate injection mold tooling for areas of concern/improvement for quality and efficiency.

· Participate in new tool design reviews and recommend improvements to optimize molding, setup, and overall manufacturing.

· Develop and document injection molding process parameters for new and existing thermoset and thermoplastic molds.

· Troubleshoot molding processes and material issues.

· Collect and analyze data for process improvements

Minimum Requirements:

· College degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in plastics / Plastics Technology.

· 5 years hands-on experience with plastic mold tooling.

· Working knowledge of a wide range of thermoplastic and thermoset materials and their properties.

· Hands on experience with injection molding processing

· Technical knowledge of injection molding machines and related equipment.

· Self-motivated.

· Excellent problem solving skills with an attention to detail.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
