Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including oral examinations and medical history reviews, to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver a wide range of dental services such as general dentistry procedures, dental extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics.
- Utilize dental terminology accurately to explain diagnoses and treatment options to patients clearly and confidently.
- Operate dental imaging equipment following infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure accurate diagnostics.
- Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation and dental records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with team members using four-handed dentistry techniques to increase efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.
- Ensure infection control standards are upheld through proper sterilization, sanitation, and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
- Use dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar systems for scheduling, charting, and managing patient information effectively.
- Assist with dental fabrication processes when necessary, including crowns or prosthetic devices, ensuring high-quality results.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, and other specialties to enhance patient outcomes.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic setting with a strong understanding of general dentistry practices.
- Demonstrated proficiency with dental software platforms such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or equivalent practice management systems.
- Hands-on experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy relevant to dentistry for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Familiarity with infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Prior experience providing pediatric dentistry services is preferred but not required; a willingness to expand skills is valued.
