We are looking for an empathetic, compassionate, understanding, personable, and professional individual, who is a team player with a client centered focus, to join our Clerical team. This position is typically the first person our public encounters when they visit our agency. Our Clerical staff gains a base knowledge of all programs and services our agency has to offer so that we ensure that we are serving our clients to the best of our ability. This position is part of a team that handles client walk-ins, scans all documents to the appropriate units, answers our main phone number to direct the caller to the appropriate area and performs a wide range of support functions for all of our Agency divisions.

Position Overview
The Clerical Specialist 3 acts as receptionist to all agency customers, makes copies for caseworkers (or scans into digital imaging system) and prints receipts for clients/file. Answers agency phone and directs caller to appropriate staff member. Utilizes inquiry function of various software programs (OIES/OBWP, SETS, SACWIS, EPPIC, Imaging systems) to answer basic customer questions and sets up appointments for types of assistance. Searches electronic files and retrieves requested materials or information. Uses email functions to communicate, check calendars/schedules, and to make appointments. Receives money from payment of fees and other financial transactions (e.g., child support payments, overpayments). Issues receipts in return for payments.
Minimum Qualifications
Twelve months experience as a Clerical Specialist 2, 10112
OR
A High School Diploma or equivalent that provided a formal education in arithmetic, reading and writing common English vocabulary, typing/word processing, as well as an additional twelve months previous clerical experience in a position similar to a Clerical Specialist 2, 10112, preferred.
OR
Education, training and/or experience in amount equal to the Minimum Qualifications stated above
