We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented BIM Manager to lead our Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategy and execution across projects. The BIM Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing BIM workflows, ensuring data consistency, coordinating interdisciplinary models, and supporting project teams in delivering high-quality, data-rich digital models throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
BIM Strategy & Standards
- Develop, implement, and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and best practices across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 19650, COBie, and other relevant BIM frameworks.
- Create and update the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) for each project.
- Oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models for design, documentation, and construction phases.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure accurate model integration.
- Identify and resolve model clashes using tools like Navisworks, Revit, or Solibri.
- Manage BIM software tools including Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360, and other relevant platforms.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and software to improve productivity and collaboration.
- Ensure proper version control, model backups, and data security practices.
- Provide training and ongoing support to project teams on BIM tools and workflows.
- Act as the internal subject matter expert for BIM, offering guidance and troubleshooting support.
- Review models for quality control, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
- Facilitate model audits and validation checks.
Key Skills and Capabilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in BIM management or coordination roles.
- Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and related software.
- Solid understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650, PAS 1192, COBie).
- Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Experience with cloud-based collaboration platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (Dynamo, Python, Grasshopper) is an advantage.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, postsecondary education preferred.
- 7 Years (10 years preferred) years experience
- Experience with Revit, NavisWorks, and Hydracad a plus.
Job Location: Corona, CA
Supervisory Responsibilities: This role will have informal supervisory responsibility. Ability to lead entry/mid-level designers on multiple projects and review their BIM use skill set.
Preferred license or certification: NICET III (Min), NICET IV or Fire Protection PE (preferred)
Education: High school graduate with some college experience in engineering classes or eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
