Position Overview:

As the Marketing Manager, youre the day to day leader of our Marketing team. Youre an action-oriented, results-driven marketer. You help us connect the unique value our software provides to what the market needs.


You will work closely with c-level leadership & the Head of Marketing to execute on the strategy laid out which will enable CoSchedule to bring our products to market. Together, our goal is to attract, convert, and retain long-term, successful customers.


Youll be responsible for leading, researching, strategizing, ideating, prioritizing, coordinating, creating and reporting on all marketing activities within CoSchedule. Youll communicate these efforts to the Head of Marketing and collaborate to make adjustments which could lead to even greater success in the future. In addition to the day to day role of providing guidance & coaching to the team, you will also be working in the business based on the product category that most needs your attention. While the Head of Marketing will be responsible for the people management responsibilities, youre expected to conduct routine 1:1s with your team & prepare the Head of Marketing for annual performance & compensation review processes.


Job Summary:

  • Coach and manage a team of marketers, holding the team accountable for the KPIs & goals developed by the company
  • Act as a Marketing Strategist where needed by the company
  • Be the marketing leader for company-wide growth initiatives
  • Be the marketing leader for product specific growth initiatives
  • Own the day to day marketing roadmap by delegating tasks & action items to the right people
  • Oversee the marketing team to ensure amazing works is completed, on-time
  • Act as the voice of marketing into CoSchedules leadership team
  • CoSchedules leadership team will lean on you to execute upon the vision & strategy of the company (&/or our product lines)
  • Conduct routine 1:1s with all marketers which can be used as coaching & two-way communication opportunities
  • Maintain transparent, open lines of communication with the Head of Marketing as it relates to people management & marketing related initiatives
  • Research growth opportunities, translate opportunities into options of how we may capitalize on them, seek feedback from leadership & the company
  • Coordinate with peers and delegate work to teammates. Manage projects, quality assurance, and on-time delivery.
  • Write the best copy in the world. Employ conversion copywriting best practices. Teach your team how to influence conversions through writing and conversion rate optimization best practice


Job Requirements:

  • Youre an ambitious self-starter.
  • BS degree in Marketing or related experience.
  • 6 years proven experience in a related position.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • You think BIG & enjoy moving fast.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • You like problem solving, and enjoy dealing with complexity.
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to foster projects to completion when the path is not always clear and/or structured.
  • You're nice people like you, you like people.
  • You excel at formalizing operations and making consistent processes within a team environment.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Remote Location Requirement:

  • Maintain a permanent address in either the state of North Dakota or Minnesota
  • Maintain a productive and distraction free home workspace

The Thatd Be Great:

  • Prior marketing conversion copywriting experience.
  • B2B or SAAS marketing experience.
  • You're a power user of CoSchedule, and have a deep understanding of how to provide value to our customers.
  • Prior experience in a software or technology-based company.
  • Technical experience with online and web-based software.
