Responsibilities;
- Oversee and coordinate nursing staff activities during the night shift to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
- Provide direct patient care and support to nursing staff as needed to maintain high-quality service.
- Assign duties and manage staffing to optimize workflow and meet patient care needs effectively.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies in collaboration with the care team.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the shift.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate communication and patient care planning.
- Mentor and support nursing staff by providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to promote professional development.
- Current and valid RN or LVN license in the state of employment.
- Previous nursing experience in a long-term care facility is preferred.
- Previous experience in a charge nurse or leadership role is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills to manage complex patient situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Ability to work the night shift and manage the demands of overnight hospital care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
