Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with established care plans and protocols.
- Supervise and oversee the daily activities of nursing assistants and ensure compliance with nursing standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing Services and Nurse Supervisor to maintain high standards of care.
- Monitor residents' health status and report changes to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist in training and mentoring nursing staff to promote professional growth and development.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school with a current, valid RN or LPN/LVN license in the state of Texas.
- Previous nursing experience in a long-term care facility is preferred.
- Supervisory or leadership experience is a plus.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, residents, and families.
- Functional literacy in English is required for documentation and communication.
