Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions promptly upon arrival in the Emergency Department.
- Provide immediate and effective nursing care to patients experiencing medical emergencies.
- Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to prescribed protocols.
- Document all patient care activities and observations thoroughly and accurately.
- Educate patients and their families about care procedures, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the Emergency Department and ensure medical equipment is operational.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in accordance with state regulations.
- Previous experience in Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit is preferred.
- Strong ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer skills.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure patient safety and care quality.
- NIHSS certification must be obtained within six months of hire; maintain without lapse.
- Completion of TNCC certification within eighteen months and basic EKG/arrhythmia course within six months of employment.
