Key Responsibilities
- Perform medical procedures according to established protocols and Medical Director’s Authorization to Practice.
- Engage positively with healthcare providers, public safety professionals, and the general public.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure ambulances are response-ready at all times.
- Complete and maintain accurate patient care reports, daily ambulance check sheets, and incident reports.
- Assist hospital departments as needed, including obtaining IV/IO access, intubations, and supporting the COVID-19 Response Team.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Certified or licensed Paramedic by the Texas Department of Health.
- Minimum age of 18 with a valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Two years of experience in an EMS position preferred.
- ACLS and PALS certifications or equivalent (required and provided upon hire).
