What You'll Do

As an Automotive Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicle systems while ensuring every vehicle receives the highest level of service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle concerns using appropriate diagnostic equipment and repair procedures.
  • Inspect engines, drivetrains, electrical systems, computer systems, and other vehicle components to accurately identify problems.
  • Perform repairs and replacements on defective, damaged, or malfunctioning components.
  • Complete routine, preventative, and manufacturer-recommended maintenance services.
  • Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle computer and electronic systems.
  • Use scan tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialized automotive tools effectively and safely.
  • Identify additional maintenance and repair needs and communicate recommendations appropriately.
  • Provide accurate estimates for parts, labor, time, and repair requirements.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of diagnostic findings and work performed.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in a clean, organized, and safe working condition.
  • Follow manufacturer specifications, company procedures, and all applicable safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with service advisors, technicians, and other team members to provide an exceptional customer experience.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or in a comparable technical position.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems.
  • Solid diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience using modern automotive diagnostic systems and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret repair procedures, technical information, and service specifications.
  • Proficiency with automotive hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to performing quality work.
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A professional attitude and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Education & Certifications

  • 2 years of technician experience or equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Formal education or training in Automotive Technology is highly desirable.
  • ASE certifications or other applicable automotive certifications are highly desirable.
  • Manufacturer-specific training and certifications are a plus.

Physical & Other Requirements

  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and temperatures throughout the year.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds as required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required vehicle insurance.
  • Must successfully complete required pre-employment screening, including drug screening, criminal background check, and motor vehicle/driving record check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour
