What are the responsibilities and job description for the QIDP-Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional position at Corvilla, Inc.?
Under the general supervision of the Residential Program Director, the QIDP is responsible for the overall management and oversight of our group homes and the individuals served in these homes.
A few of the primary responsibilities include:
- Establishment and monthly review of Individual Service Plans to ensure appropriateness and progress toward goals of each individual served.
- Visit each home at minimum twice per month
- Visit each individual served in his or her day service program a minimum of once each month to assess provision of active treatment in that setting.
- Communicate with the interdisciplinary team, co-workers, professionals, family members and the community in a manner which upholds Corvilla's mission and values.
- Provide supervision/leadership to the manager of each home
The ideal candidate for this position will possess strong organizational skills, have the ability to complete tasks under deadlines and be highly responsive to individuals served, group home staff, family members and professionals on the team. The QIDP chosen for this position must also demonstrate the ability to have a flexible schedule, the specific hours of work will be determined according to the needs of the individuals served and the agency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in social work, human services or related field required and preference of two years working with individuals with developmental disabilities. A valid driver's license is also required.
