What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Design Engineer position at Corvid Technologies?
Corvid Technologies' Science & Technology group is looking to add talented Mechanical Design Engineers to their growing team. This position will support the development and application of specialty payloads and warheads for defense customers. The successful candidate will enjoy concept development, including initial CAD drawings, as well as taking developed concepts and integrating them into different systems.
The position requires a CAD background and a fundamental technical understanding of how scaling or manipulating payloads could impact performance, design, and dimensions of the payload as well as the system.

Sample Tasking Will Include
- Designing mechanical components and assemblies for aerospace systems
- Modifying existing models for different applications of proven technologies
- Integrating models into new applications and understanding the GD&T effects (ensuring fit and function)
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
- Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical (or similar discipline) - Strong experience in CAD and product development can substitute for Degree
- Interest and ability in mechanical design, preferably using SolidWorks or similar tool
- Preferred candidate will have experience working on design/integration tasks for Aerospace or DoD systems
