What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP AI & Innovation position at CorVel Healthcare Corporation?
The VP AI & Innovation provides technical expertise on AI and innovation strategies and business solutions to leadership. Prioritize business opportunities and promote new technologies, growth opportunities, and avenues to generate revenue. Recommend new processes, products, services, or systems and complete those projects when approved.
This is a hybrid role, which is primarily in office (in San Francisco, CA).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to come up with the best possible innovations and solutions
- Determine research and development as well as the timeframe needed to finalize product, service or system within approved budget
- Advise on integrating AI technologies to enhance business processes, identifying market trends, and developing strategic solutions
- Analyze client needs in AI, automation, and data analytics and plans customized strategies
- Conduct market research and strategy business planning, identifies potential technical enhancement, and coordinates with internal teams to implement AI solutions
- Track opportunities, manage relationships as needed, and ensure execution aligns with the organization’s strategic vision
- Provide technical expertise in AI frameworks and compliance with regulatory standards
- Responsible for the implementation of AI models and present findings to stakeholders
- Maintains knowledge of advancements in AI development and innovation
- Additional projects and duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong oral communication skills
- Strong technical writing skills and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
- Sense of urgency and ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of related experience (experience can be used to substitute for the degree)
- Familiar with a variety of high-level technology concepts, practices, and procedures
- Demonstrated technical competence with Microsoft Technologies, including messaging, collaboration, and database
- Demonstrated ability to provide superior service to internal and external stakeholders
- Experience working as part of a project team performing major rollouts, implementations and migrations, particularly in a virtual environment
- Proven capability of collaboration with virtual teams and organizations that are outside of the formal reporting structure
PAY RANGE:
CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.
For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.
Pay Range: $144,126 - $222,882
