Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Front End Manager to lead our retail sales team and oversee daily store operations. This pivotal role combines leadership, customer service excellence, and operational management to ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers. As a Front End Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales, managing inventory, supervising staff, and maintaining a welcoming store environment that promotes teamwork and high performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the retail sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management.
• Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales opportunities.
• Train and develop team members to foster a motivated and skilled workforce.
• Handle employee orientation, performance evaluations, and ongoing training & development initiatives.
• Maintain effective communication with staff regarding store policies, promotions, and operational updates.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, cash handling procedures, and store policies.
• Utilize retail math skills for budgeting, sales analysis, and inventory management to optimize store performance.
• Coordinate purchasing decisions and assist in marketing efforts to promote store products and services.
• Supervise shift management activities including scheduling, cashiering duties, customer service standards, and conflict resolution.

Experience

• Proven management experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team leadership and operational oversight.
• Demonstrated success in supervising staff through effective training & development programs.
• Strong background in retail math including budgeting, pricing strategies, inventory control, and sales management.
• Experience with POS systems, cashiering procedures, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and inventory management software.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and motivate teams.
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
• Prior experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Skilled in customer service excellence with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences for all customers.
