We’re seeking a driven and customer-focused Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of strategic customers while developing new business opportunities across your territory. This is a great fit for a self-starter who thrives in a technical sales environment and enjoys building long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and grow Strategic Account Plans for a portfolio of customers by understanding their needs and providing technical solutions.
  • Sell Cortrol’s full range of products and services to existing and new customers through relationship building, product recommendations, and technical support.
  • Drive demand creation within existing accounts and prospect for new business using approved sales and marketing tools.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage your opportunity pipeline, track activities, and report progress.
  • Prepare quotes and proposals for customer projects.
  • Collaborate closely with Inside Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and submit reports and expenses per company policy.
  • Represent Cortrol professionally at customer visits, lunches, trade shows, and industry events.

What You’ll Bring

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • 3–5 years of sales or customer service experience, ideally in an industrial distribution or technical sales environment.
  • Experience with fiberglass or corrosion-resistant piping systems strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a data-driven approach to growth.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Willingness to entertain customers through lunches, dinners, and site visits.
