This is a seasonal, full-time position located on-site at our Stockton Facility. Corto Harvest is a 24/7 operation from mid-October – early December so the ability to work any shift is required.
The Seasonal Lead Receiving Operator oversees the Receiving Operators and Sanitation Teams. This position is responsible for the success of the Receiving Team’s safety and performance. The Lead Receiving Operator must work closely with the Shift Supervisor, Logistics Coordinator, the Milling Operators and Maintenance to ensure all production schedules are met, while minimizing downtime through the receiving process.
This position will be primarily responsible for:
- Lead the Receiving Team in unloading olive trucks, executing log changes, and sanitation.
- Utilize reporting and information to provide decision-making and measure operational success.
- Communicate with the Logistics Coordinator to ensure the milling lines receive the correct olives at the right location and time.
- Execute tasks using work instructions, checklists, and reaction plans, ensuring all staff adhere to these guidelines.
- Hold the team accountable for following the Corto Fresh program, focusing on safety, food safety, and shift targets.
- Conduct daily start-of-shift huddles with the Milling Supervisor and Shift Manager.
- Maintain traceability in the receiving area.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues and situations affecting safety, product quality, and throughput.
- Manage team breaks and lunches, ensuring all are taken within set timelines.
- Execute tasks using work instructions, checklists, and reaction plans, ensuring all staff adhere to these guidelines.
- Comply with all company safety policies, practices, and procedures. Participate in safety training and report all unsafe conditions or work practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required or equivalent experience.
- 0-2 years of manufacturing experience.
- 1 year leadership experience.
- Excellent communicator amongst peers and with direct management.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and moderate fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 50% or less sitting, 25% or more walking, and 50% or more standing. The job is performed under frequent temperature variations and in a manufacturing environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift up to 45 lbs. is required.
