Role Overview
As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you serve as a technical leader within the community's maintenance team. You provide advanced troubleshooting and repair skills, mentor junior technicians, support the Service Manager, and help ensure the property remains safe, functional, and wellmaintained. In this role, you take ownership of complex maintenance issues, guide preventative maintenance programs, and play a key role in delivering highquality service to residents.
- Mentor and support Service Technicians and assist in leading maintenance operations.
- Serve as acting lead in the Service Manager's absence.
- Diagnose and repair advanced issues in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and general building systems.
- Address unsafe conditions and ensure timely corrective action by the team.
- Monitor and report on building and security systems, including automatic doors and cameras.
- Perform and oversee preventative maintenance on HVAC and building equipment.
- Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and spare parts.
- Participate in oncall rotations and respond to property and resident emergencies.
- Provide professional, highquality customer service to residents.
- Document all work completed and report recurring issues.
Qualifications
- Universal EPA certification is required; CPO is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or multifamily housing.
- Advanced skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, and general building systems.
- Ability to mentor staff and support daily departmental leadership.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customerservice abilities.
- Ability to safely use tools, lift heavy items, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to participate in oncall and emergency response schedules.
