Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Mentor, train, and supervise the Accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely execution of all financial deliverables.
- Financial Reporting: Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to support decision-making by agency leadership.
- Budget & Forecast Management: Collaborate with Executive teams to develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and performance tracking.
- Month-End Close: Oversee the monthly close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis.
- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Cash Flow & Vendor Management: Monitor cash flow, manage vendor relationships, and ensure prompt payment processing.
- Banking & Audit Liaison: Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial partners, supporting audits and other financial reviews.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate financial processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
- Collaboration: Partner with other departments to ensure financial policies and procedures are clearly communicated and adhered to across agencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of financial and accounting management experience or 3 years in public accounting.
- Experience in marketing, advertising, media or other service industries preferred..
- Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with hands-on experience in ERP or financial management systems.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend complex instructions and correspondence.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both one-on-one and group settings.
- Ability to apply logical reasoning to solve problems involving multiple variables.
