Software Engineer

Corteva Agriscience is looking for an innovative, energetic, and transformational Software Engineer. At Corteva, a Software Engineer (SE) is a scrum team member responsible for translating business requirements and features into application code. They primarily engineer software and may do some small solution design with oversight from others.

What You’ll Do:

• Be a productive Scrum team member and participate in typical SCRUM ceremonies.
• Collaborate well with other software engineers, business process experts, QAs, delivery leads, product owners, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Create clear and maintainable code.
• Develop data and business driven applications using tools such as SQL Server and no-SQL DBs.
• Develop JavaScript based front end web applications with frameworks and tools like Angular and Typescript.
• Ability to develop RESTful APIs and microservice based applications in languages such as C# and Python.
• Have cloud computing experience such as Azure or similar cloud platforms.
• Develop secure applications with authentication, role-based access controls, and secure development techniques.
• Ability to understand and possibly manage build processes in a CI/CD based team.
• Possess source code management skills using tools like Azure DevOps.
• Ability to understand and apply various software development frameworks and utilities to business problems.
• Possess a familiarity with infrastructure as code, automation, monitoring, and the DevOps mindset.
• Write test driven code and be able to write unit and integration tests.

What Skills You Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
• Experience or Familiar with .Net framework and C#.
• Experience or Familiar with web UI frameworks such as Angular, React, and Vue.
• Experience or Familiar with designing solutions in Microsoft Azure with a cloud-first mentality.
• Experience or Familiar with SQL, data, and integrations.
• Familiar with software development life cycle processes or Agile development.
• Familiar with CI/CD practices and Infrastructure as Code.
• Knowledge of micro-services.
• Passionate about customer experience.
• Partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent teamwork, communication (oral and written) and collaboration skills.
