Corteva Agriscience LLC seeks a full-time Cost Estimating Lead based in Wilmington, DE. This position is responsible for the end-to-end execution and management of project capital and non-capital related engineering project estimates. Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field & 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) exp. Must also have 24 months of exp with the following: (1) utilizing Aspen Capital Cost Estimating Software and follow Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) Recommended Practices (RPs) to generate accurate estimates; (2) driving down estimating overhead costs by conceptualizing and implementing solutions as needed for estimating, benchmarking, and QRA tools development from participation and collaboration in relevant and ongoing industry research, attendance in professional organizational annual conferences, and leveraging applicable AACE Recommended Practices; (3) exploring advanced tools to improve cost estimate input data integrity from storage collection to analysis and exploring technologies with IT focal point on moving from manual to cloud-based platform with augmented Machine learning features to promote real-time accurate globalization of estimating tools in line with current industry trends cost estimating; (4) identifying project controls system, project team development and QRA maturity models, establishing fit-for-purpose organizational targets and using this to set goals and drive continuous improvement in project cost management systems as well understanding the maturity models’ relationship to Cost/Schedule risk outcomes; (5) estimating for Specialty Chemical process equipment, utility systems (electrical systems, waste handling, refrigeration), and construction methods; and (6) Using advanced Excel tools (VBA for Excel and Python for Excel). Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. Position includes a telecommute benefit within commuting distance to Wilmington, DE Corteva office, as directed.
