We are currently seeking a full-time Financial Analyst for our facility in Houma, LA.
Job Summary:
Responsible for the accuracy of accounting and financial data and reports as well as the daily monitoring and management of the Accounting Department. This position encompasses the security, accumulation, reporting, reconciliation and analysis of company financial data.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Daily bank reconciliation
- Month end/year end accounting reconciliation and closing of the books
- Preparation and analysis of financial statements and financial statement ratios
- Development, preparation, and dissemination of financial and operational reports and dashboards
- Prepare financial and operational data for presentation at quarterly management meetings
- Periodic evaluation of internal controls
- Monthly sales journal reconciliation
- Maintain accurate asset and depreciation schedules
- Monthly preparation and payment of sales taxes
- Prepare progress bills and maintain accurate records of billing milestones, outstanding invoices, and payments received, as needed
- Assist CFO with various financial and accounting tasks as needed
- Training, development, and administration of accounting personnel
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2 years of related experience
- Management experience preferred
Specialized knowledge, critical skills and competencies:
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting standards
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Advanced computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office
