Lead Full Stack Developer

Position Summary, Responsibilities, And Expectations

 

• Serve as the technical lead for the eCommerce platform, overseeing design, implementation, and deployment of scalable solutions across multiple business units.
• Partner directly with business stakeholders to define technical strategies, gather requirements, and translate them into robust, innovative solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, and performance optimization.
• Architect, integrate, and optimize solutions across eCommerce systems including: Order Management, Inventory, Payments, Fulfillment, CMS, CRM, CDP, Customer Experience, Analytics, Tracking, Personalization, and AI-driven solutions.
• Lead the integration of AI and machine learning tools (e.g., personalization engines, recommendation systems, chatbots, predictive analytics, automation workflows) into the eCommerce ecosystem.
• Create and maintain supporting documentation deliverables — User Stories, Technical Specifications Documents (TSD), Use Cases, Data Mapping, and Workflow Diagrams.
• Write, review, and enforce high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code across HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Node.
• Proactively manage development tasks, address risks, and communicate technical challenges and opportunities to leadership. 
  
   

Essential Skills And Experience

 

• Proven experience as a lead or senior full stack developer with responsibility for guiding teams and making architecture decisions.
• Strong proficiency with Progressive Web Apps, React.js, Node.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Deep expertise in HTML5, Tailwind CSS, SQL, GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify Plus, including custom builds, template modifications, and 3rd-party app integrations.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning integrations, such as personalization/recommendation systems, chatbot platforms, predictive analytics, and automation tools.
• Strong experience with Git & Jira for version control and project tracking.
• Ability to mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and enforce coding standards.
• Solid understanding of webhooks, server-side rendering, and performance optimization at scale.
• Experience in building responsive, accessible (ADA-compliant), and SEO-optimized front-end experiences. 
  
   

Preferred Skills

 

• Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Contentful, or Contentstack.
• Experience integrating with PIM systems and advanced search engines (e.g., Elasticsearch, Algolia).
• Familiarity with ERP systems and order management.
• Strong collaboration skills to work across UX, back-end engineering, data science, and QA.
