What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cost Accounting Manager position at CORSAIR?
Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of cost accounting including standard cost setting, cost roll-ups, and cost copy processes in Oracle
- Lead overhead rate reviews and updates, preparing analysis and implementing changes in Oracle based on operational and financial inputs
- Perform monthly and quarterly inventory valuation and Cost Accounting related close activities including inventory reconciliations and reserve analysis
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure accurate inventory valuation and reporting
- Ensure compliance with SOX and internal audit controls related to cost accounting processes and Oracle transactions
- Support Oracle ERP upgrades and testing by documenting and validating cost-related transactions and reports
- Conduct variance analysis (PPV, MV, absorption) and provide actionable insights to improve cost efficiency and operational performance
- Collaborate and partner with manufacturing and supply chain teams to optimize cost structures and support strategic decision-making.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Oracle EBS (Cost Management and Inventory) or Oracle Fusion ERP.
- Experience with audit processes, including SOX compliance and internal controls.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Oracle Discoverer and ECC dashboards for cost and inventory reporting
- Experience supporting ERP upgrades and UAT testing for cost accounting modules
