Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Machine Operator (shift 2:30PM to 11PM) to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience operating various machinery, including PEM machine, punch presses, laser, and press brake machines. As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Duties
- Operate and monitor machinery according to instructions.
- Set up and adjust machines for specific tasks.
- Fabricate components according to specifications using various tools and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to prevent breakdowns and ensure longevity.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate PEM machines, punch presses, lasers, and press brake machines.
- Familiarity with assembly line processes and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary)
