Seeking outgoing, motivated individuals to provide care to adults with intellectual disabilities in a residential setting.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting individuals with daily living tasks including personal care and self help skills
- Assure safety measures of the home are carried out
- Assist in the implementation of ISP's and adherence to State Regulations
- Remain awake during scheduled hours
- Daily documentation and upkeep of records
- Medication Administration
- Cooking
- Upkeep of the home/vehicles
- Provide transportation to medical appoints, community activities
- Participate in meetings of the house, team
- Meet all training/in-service requirements (includes staff and agency meetings)
- Encourage and participate in daily home activities, social outings, etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School diploma/GED
- Valid driver's license
- Eligibility for Acts 33/34 and FBI clearances required
- Experience working with persons with Intellectual disabilities preferred
- Positive, caring attitude and outgoing personality
- Team player
- Prompt, dependable and flexible
- Proof of vaccine or approved exemption required prior to hire
Schedules and placement in the home may fluctuate. Schedules are created to meet the needs of the each home.
Paid training
2nd shift (3-9 or 3-11) times
3rd shift (11p-9a)
25-30 hours weekly
