Job Purpose
Our Plant Manager will be responsible for the full operational leadership of a union corrugated manufacturing facility, including corrugator and converting operations. This role serves as the senior on-site leader and is accountable for plant performance, technical execution, and long-term operational capability. The Plant Manager provides strategic direction while ensuring disciplined daily execution through the Plant Superintendent and site leadership, without additional operational leadership layers.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior on-site operational leader with full accountability for production, maintenance, safety, labor relations, and plant performance.
- Provide technical and strategic leadership to corrugator and converting operations, ensuring strong process control, equipment reliability, and operational discipline.
- Lead and develop the Plant Superintendent and Maintenance leadership to execute daily operations aligned with plant priorities and performance expectations.
- Establish and drive continuous improvement using lean manufacturing principles, root cause analysis, and standard work.
- Own plant-level results by setting direction, reviewing performance metrics, and ensuring sustained corrective action without reliance on additional leadership layers.
- Partner through dotted-line relationships with Shipping, Quality, Scheduling, and Customer Service to align plant execution with regional standards and customer commitments.
- Collaborate with regional functional leaders to influence outcomes, escalate risks, and ensure alignment while maintaining clear operational ownership at the site.
- Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements, safety regulations, and company policies while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and respect.

- Ability to lead a corrugated manufacturing facility as the primary operational authority on site.
- Ability to apply strong technical knowledge of corrugator and converting processes to guide decisions and problem-solving.
- Ability to think strategically while maintaining direct accountability for operational execution and results.
- Ability to lead, coach, and hold leaders accountable in a lean organizational structure without additional management layers.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement through data analysis, standardization, and disciplined follow-through.
- Ability to influence regional partners and achieve results within a dotted-line support model.
- Ability to manage labor relations and operational change in a union manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills preferred.
Pay: $140,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
