Job Title - Cathodic Protection Professional

Division - Water-Wastewater Infrastructure

Direct Report - Division Leader

Job Description:

Corrosion Probe, Inc. has immediate openings for NACE-certified Cathodic Protection Specialists (CP4) and Cathodic Protection Technologists (CP3) in various offices throughout the United States. The successful candidates will - as appropriate to their level of training and certification - design cathodic protection (CP) systems for buried or submerged piping, tanks, and structures. Duties include, but are not limited to, performing calculations and development of specifications and drawings, producing specifications and drawings for designed CP systems, performing soils/water corrosiveness assessments that provide basis for CP system design, performing testing, evaluation, and monitoring of existing CP systems, and assessing stray current issues. This position will require dealing directly with clients concerning design and evaluation conclusions and recommendations, producing formal written reports and other correspondence for submission to clients, and broadening existing relationships with clients through high-quality work and regular communication. Additional duties include performing condition assessments of metallic and concrete structures and protective coatings, and support to other corrosion and materials evaluation and consulting efforts.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • NACE International CP Specialist (CP4) or Technologist (CP3) certification
  • For CP4: 10 years of experience in design, testing, and troubleshooting of impressed-current and sacrificial anode CP systems
  • Experience in various industries is helpful
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated individuals requiring minimal supervision
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, are a must - especially expedient report writing capability. Candidates will be asked to submit samples of written reports and/or other correspondence

Additional Beneficial Experience:

  • Water/Wastewater industry background
  • Construction/industrial site safety

Other Requirements:

These positions include moderate non-local travel (around 25% of the time) and occasional, short-duration assignments in industrial facilities.

  • Salary will be commensurate with experience.
