We are looking for dedicated team members to join our Family-owned Bakery & Deli with three locations throughout Montgomery County. Job Summary:

Our Deli Associates assist the customers by preparing, slicing, weighing, wrapping, and pricing our fresh quality meats, cheeses, and various other deli food items. Deli Associates will also be preparing freshly made hoagies both hot and cold, preparing party trays and answering customers inquiries.

Days/Shift Needs:

Deli Associates will be working during the weekdays (8:00am – 5:30pm), weekends (Saturday, 7:00am – 4:30pm & Sunday, 7:00am – 3:30pm) along with holidays such as Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve.

Employment Needs:

We are currently seeking Full-Time (30-40hrs per week) and Part-Time (16-29hrs per week).

A Day in the Life:

• Provides responsive customer service, including answering customer questions, making product recommendations, sampling of products, and responding to inquiries.
• Slices, packages, and weighs deli products, including cheeses and meats. Provides recommendations for products to customers and offering samples to aide in the selection process of products.
• Updates display cases, stocks, rotate, and ensures promotion items are showcased.
• Ensures deli cooler shelves and deli display cases have a wide variety of product. Stocks and rotates deli items when necessary.
• Operates and handles deli equipment such as deli slicers, knives, grill tops, deep fryers, and steam tables.
• Cleans and sanitizes deli equipment and food surfaces throughout the department, including deli slicers, deli cases, food preparation stations and floors.
• Ensures scale systems are in working properly. Makes sure deli items are weighed and priced accurately.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Work experience in a deli department is beneficial. (Not required)
• Prior customer service experience preferred. (Not required)
• Prior experience operating manual/power slicers and kitchen appliances preferred. (Not required)
• Knowledge of deli products preferred. (Not required)
• At least 18 years of age required.
