Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Corridor Family Dentistry is looking for a gregarious, energetic person for a full-time RDA/EFDA. Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Chairside assisting
• Setting up and breaking down of operatory
• Making radiographs (bitewing, periapical, and panoramic)
• Managing the office's infection control program, to include preparing and sterilizing instruments and managing the sterilization monitoring program
• Managing inventory/supplies and storage area
• Performing various office tasks as needed
• Taking impressions and pouring and trimming casts
• Tracking outgoing and incoming laboratory cases
• Maintaining a clean and organized laboratory
• Managing patient concerns in a friendly, professional manner
• Completing preventive maintenance requirements to ensure operation of dental equipment, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, scheduling repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques
• Protecting patients and employees by adhering to Federal requirements to include OSHA infection-control policies and HIPAA compliance
• Must possess a current certificate of registration to practice as a dental assistant issued by the Iowa Board of Dental Examiners.
• Must possess current Iowa certificate of proficiency in dental radiography.
• Must possess current CPR certification.
