We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to oversee all HR functions, support our management team, strengthen employee engagement, and help drive organizational success.


Position Summary

Our HR Generalist will serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers, handling day-to-day HR operations across multiple functions.

Coordinate full-cycle recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, onboarding, performance management, and compliance activities while ensuring adherence to company policies and employment regulations.


Key Duties

1. Recruitment and Staffing

  • Create and post job advertisements
  • Screen resumes and applications
  • Conduct interviews and coordinate hiring processes
  • Perform reference and background checks
  • Assist with on boarding new employees

2. Employee Relations

  • Address employee concerns and workplace issues
  • Investigate complaints and conflicts
  • Promote a positive work environment
  • Support employee engagement initiatives

3. Benefits and Compensation Administration

  • Administer health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits
  • Explain benefits programs to employees
  • Maintain benefits records

4. Performance Management

  • Coordinate performance review processes
  • Assist managers with employee evaluations
  • Track performance improvement plans
  • Support employee development programs

5. Training and Development

  • Identify training needs
  • Coordinate employee training sessions
  • Maintain training records
  • Support leadership and professional development initiatives

6. Policy and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Maintain employee handbook and HR policies
  • Monitor workplace safety and labor law requirements
  • Assist with audits and compliance reporting

7. HR Records Management

  • Maintain employee personnel files
  • Process employment status changes
  • Update HR information
  • Prepare HR reports and documentation

8. Payroll Support

  • Verify employee timekeeping information
  • Process payroll-related changes
  • Coordinate with payroll providers or finance departments
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies

9. Leave Administration

  • Manage vacation, sick leave, and other time-off requests
  • Administer FMLA, ADA accommodations, and leave programs
  • Track employee leave balances

Qualifications

Required

  • 3 years of human resources experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality

Preferred

  • Manufacturing, distribution, or industrial experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems
  • Experience recruiting hourly and salaried employees
  • Experience supporting companies with 50-150 employees
  • Training and leadership development experience
