Corrective Asphalt Materials (CAM) is seeking dependable and motivated Traveling Road Construction Crew Members to support pavement preservation operations throughout Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Arkansas, Alabama, and Minnesota.
Working directly with the Superintendent and crew members, you will assist with traffic control, roadway preparation, equipment handling, and general roadway maintenance to help complete projects safely, efficiently, and professionally.
Our primary construction season runs from March through November, with work schedules based on project demand and weather conditions. Approximately 70% of our projects require overnight travel Monday through Friday. CAM provides company-paid individual hotel accommodations and a $50/day meal per diem while traveling.

Primary Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Superintendent and follow daily work assignments.
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices in accordance with MUTCD and company safety standards.
- Deliver resident notifications and install temporary No Parking signs prior to scheduled work.
- Load, unload, organize, and transport equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Assist with roadway preparation, pavement preservation operations, and project cleanup.
- Operate blowers, power brooms, hand tools, and other roadway maintenance equipment.
- Protect storm drains, utility structures, and surrounding infrastructure during project operations.
- Perform routine equipment inspections, cleaning, preventive maintenance, and shop organization.
- Assist with inventory management and maintaining equipment readiness.
- Work safely around moving traffic while following all OSHA, DOT, and company safety requirements.
- Maintain a professional attitude while communicating with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and the public.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support daily operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Road construction or paving experience
- Traffic control experience
- Construction labor experience
- Equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- Valid Driver's License
Previous roadway maintenance experience is preferred but not required. CAM provides paid training for motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
