Job Summary: Responsibilities: Nurse Practitioners are members of a supportive multi-disciplinary team providing full-scale healthcare to the inmate population. Correctional Medicine provides the opportunity to practice in internal and emergency medicine, detoxification, obstetrics and more. The Bristol County Sheriff's Office has been approved as a Health Provider Shortage Area (HPSA), a designation given to sites whose providers provide culturally competent health care services to underserved populations. In return, the health care providers are eligible to apply for assistance with the repayment (up to $40,000) of outstanding school loans with a two year service commitment. Following the two year commitment, the provider can apply for additional repayment awards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NP/PA: 1 year (Preferred)
- License/Certification:
- Physician Assistant License (Preferred)
- DEA Certification (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Nurse Practitioner License (Preferred)
Schedule:
40 hours/week
Monday-Friday, 3pm-11pm shift
