We are looking for a professional, dedicated and reliable dental assistant to work
40 hours/week(Mon-Fri) 7:00 AM- 3 PM every Friday at the Bristol County House of Correction in Dartmouth, MA .
Summary:
To assist dentist during examination and treatment of patients
Key Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direct assistance by keeping the operating field clear, passing instruments and suctioning.
- Sterilize instruments in the dental office.
- Responsible for mixing of restorative materials.
- Assist in taking intra-oral and extra-oral x-rays.
- Develop and mount x-ray films.
- Perform intra-oral tasks as defined by law. Ensure that there are a sufficient number of trays set up for the day’s patients: pulpotomy, caries control, amalgam, perio/scaling.
- Maintain x-ray unit, processor, autoclave and dental units according to specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dental clinics by cleaning the area daily and sanitizing the area weekly.
- Take inventory of supplies and equipment to maintain sufficient levels.
- Order supplies and equipment as needed with approval of the dentist.
- It is an essential part of the job that CPS can ask the employee to work beyond his/her regularly scheduled hours.
- Follow all security rules and regulations.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
High School
- CPR certification required
- 1 year of dental assistant experience
