CorrectHealth currently has an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in Houma, LA!

12 hr shifts - 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Essential Functions

• Assist in providing health care to inmates.
• Assist in performing intake physical examinations to all newly
  
  

incarcerated inmates.

• Assist in the passing of medications to inmates.
• Assist in responding to medical emergencies.
• Advise appropriate personnel on any inmates that need to be
  
  

classified as a medical risk.

• Comply with Medical Department directives pertaining to
  
  

bloodborne and airborne pathogens and the disposal of

contaminated materials and supplies.

• Practice proper medical record keeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  
  

Required License or Certification: EMT

Current certification to practice as a EMT in the state of employment. American Heart Association BLS. American Heart Association ACLS. Knowledge and ability to perform emergency care within scope of practice.
