Staff Pharmacist Position Summary
Correct Rx is seeking a dedicated and clinically focused Staff Pharmacist to support operations at the Holyoke Soldiers Home. Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy or designee, this role is responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care, reviewing and interpreting medication orders, accurately dispensing medications, supporting pharmacy operations, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Essential Responsibilities
· Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and therapeutic appropriateness
· Accurately dispense medications and verify unit dose packaging integrity
· Support and supervise pharmacy technicians and support personnel
· Maintain adequate medication inventory and facilitate availability of first doses and specialty medications
· Conduct controlled substance audits and quality assessment activities
· Maintain documentation and security of controlled substances
· Monitor patients receiving select medications and support pharmacokinetic monitoring
· Identify and document adverse drug reactions and medication incidents
· Provide drug information and medication counseling to healthcare professionals and patients
· Participate in medication utilization reviews, patient care rounds, and quality improvement initiatives
· Provide in-service education and training to healthcare staff
· Repackage medications safely and accurately in accordance with established procedures
· Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and facility policies and regulations
Qualifications
· Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree or higher
· Active Massachusetts pharmacist license in good standing
· Long-term care, hospital, or institutional pharmacy experience preferred
· Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $55.00 – $65.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
