Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, analyzing costs, and ensuring the accuracy of accounting operations while supporting the financial health of the company.
Responsibilities
- Examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements and reports.
- Balance Sheets
- Income Statements
- Cash Flow Statements
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Process and reconcile Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Process payroll and prepare payroll-related journal entries and reports.
- Prepare and analyze cost accounting reports for projects, operations, and products.
- Analyze labor and payroll costs to improve operational performance.
- Reconcile sales records and daily revenue reports with accounting records.
- Prepare supporting documentation for tax filings and external accountants.
- Present financial statements and reports to company ownership.
- Supervise and review the work of Accounting Clerks.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Experience with financial reporting and account reconciliations.
- Payroll processing experience.
- Cost accounting experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Pay: $57,712.05 - $60,836.00 per year
