Medical Office Assistant I

Corr Medical Solutions, a growing DME company is looking for a superstar to join our team as an Office Assistant I (B&E Specialist).

The B&E Specialist acts as the front door for all new patient referrals, focusing on verifying insurance coverage and preparing the case for clinical review. This function is essential for both company protection (by preventing work on non-covered patients) and sales facilitation (by ensuring a smooth and efficient intake experience).

Key Responsibilities and Workflow:

Referral Intake and System Entry

Workflow Initiation

Benefits and Eligibility (B&E) Verification: Utilizes multiple channels for verification, including insurance portals, direct telephone calls, or integrated software platforms (e.g., Brightree).

Documents the verified benefits

Enters key benefit details into a the system

Case Handoff for Clinical Review

Prior Authorization (PA) Management

Monitors the status of any required prior authorizations.

Once an approval is received, uploads the official authorization document into the patient's file to complete the financial clearance.

Role in the Overall Process:

The Benefits and Eligibility Concierge performs the foundational due diligence for every new case. By ensuring a referral is financially viable from the outset, this role allows the Case Developers to focus their expertise on the more complex tasks of assessing medical necessity and building a clinically defensible case.

Candidates must possess the following:
