Job purpose
The Human Resources Administrator supports day-to-day Human Resources operations, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, employee relations, HR compliance, HRIS administration, reporting, and employee engagement. This position serves as a resource for employees and managers while ensuring compliance with employment laws and Club policies.
Main Responsibilities
Human Resources Administration
• Maintain employee personnel files and HR records.
• Prepare HR correspondence, reports, and documentation.
• Process employment verifications and unemployment claims.
• Maintain HR policies, forms, and employee communications.
• Ensure confidentiality of employee information.
Recruiting & Onboarding
• Coordinate recruitment, interviewing, and hiring activities.
• Post job openings and manage applicant tracking.
• Conduct background and reference checks.
• Complete onboarding, I-9s, E-Verify, and HRIS setup.
• Facilitate New Employee Orientation.
• Conduct exit interviews.
Payroll Benefits & Leave Administration
• Coordinate bi-weekly payroll processing.
• Audit timecards and process payroll changes.
• Administer employee benefits and Open Enrollment.
• Process enrollments, qualifying life events, and benefit changes.
• Coordinate FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and leave administration.
• Coordinate return-to-work activities.
• Assist employees with payroll and benefit questions.
Employee Relations & Compliance
• Serve as an HR resource for employees and managers.
• Assist with employee relations, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate performance evaluations and employee development.
• Maintain HR compliance with employment laws and Club policies.
• Coordinate labor law postings and HR compliance activities.
HRIS, Reporting & Records
• Maintain HRIS and electronic personnel records.
• Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and workforce metrics.
• Monitor turnover, retention, recruiting, absenteeism, and training metrics.
• Coordinate HR audits and record retention.
• Assist with HR system improvements.
Training & Employee Programs
• Coordinate employee training programs, CPR certification and compliance training.
• Maintain employee communications and HR resources.
• Coordinate employee engagement and recognition activities.
• Manage employee uniform ordering, inventory, and distribution.
Qualifications
• Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Three (3) years of Human Resources experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of employment laws, payroll processing, and HR best practices.
• Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and payroll software.
• Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR technology platforms.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or equivalent HR certification preferred.
