Overview of Findlay Market Maintenance Technician Associate
The Findlay Market Maintenance Technician Associate (MTA) will be responsible for executing general maintenance work and projects in the Market District. The MTA will be expected to have knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry.
The MTA will work closely with the Maintenance Associates to maintain and increase market beautification efforts.
The MTA will report directly to the Facility and Maintenance Manager. This is a full-time position with a normal schedule of Sunday through Thursday, with occasional weekend and evening work. Performance will be reviewed on an annual basis and based on successful planning and execution of district maintenance, repair and projects at Findlay Market.
Maintenance Technician Associate Responsibilities
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with planned and unplanned maintenance needs related to CFFM assets including, but not limited to the following:
- HVAC
- Troubleshoot issues to coordinate repairs with third party contractor or in house
- Preventative Maintenance
- Electrical
- Replacing/repairing fixtures, switches, plugs, and circuit breakers
- Installing/repairing conduit
- Plumbing
- Use augers to clear blockages
- Repair/replacement of drain lines, supply lines, and fixtures
- Installation of toilets and sinks
- Carpentry
- Repairing/replacing trim, repairing furnishings or structures
- Repairing and maintain doors
- Drywall repair and painting
- Landscaping & Grounds
- Mulching, edging, weeding, watering, planting and general keep up of horticultural efforts
- Gutter cleaning, power washing, and other detail cleaning needs
- Snow Removal
- HVAC

- Proficient in the use of tools required to perform their assigned task safely and efficiently
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of general maintenance, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electricity, and HVAC in both theory and practical terms
- Knowledge of equipment associated with the above duties and responsibilities necessary for completing repair and maintenance work
- Ability to identify, evaluate and troubleshoot issues related to the above duties and responsibilities
- Ability to be on your feet for majority of the day and execute physical work (lift up to 60 pounds)

Compensation and Benefits
- $20 - 25/hr
