The Hartford Enterprise Data Office is seeking a Jr Business Data Analyst to support highly visible, business-critical applications and enterprise data initiatives. This role will partner with business stakeholders, IT teams, and data engineering groups to gather requirements,
analyze data, create mapping documents, support testing, and improve enterprise
data processes.
Core Requirements:
- 2 years of Business Analysis and/or Data Analysis experience WITHIN THE INSURANCE DOMAIN
- Strong SQL and querying experience (Snowflake, Toad, SAS, Python, R, Hive, or similar)
- Experience gathering business and data requirements from stakeholders
- Data analysis, data profiling, and data discovery experience
- Experience creating data mapping documents and transformation rules
- Experience supporting data warehouse, reporting, or analytics projects
- Agile project experience
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, timeline-driven environment
Preferred Experience:
- Snowflake experience
- Root cause analysis of data issues
- Functional / UAT testing support
- Experience using AI tools for documentation, reporting, anomaly detection, data quality, or workflow improvements
- Prompt design / prompt engineering exposure
Candidate Must Be Able To Speak To:
- Hands-on SQL querying and data analysis examples
- Requirements gathering with business users
- Source-to-target mapping / data documentation
- Working cross-functionally with business and technical teams
- Prior reporting, analytics, or data warehouse initiatives
Salary : $20 - $33
