## Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate an experienced Water aerobics Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various fitness disciplines and a desire to motivate and inspire others on their fitness journey. This job will require at least one weekend class and is provided for Senior citizens. The ideal applicant will have experience teaching silver sneakers or similar style classes geared toward an aging population.
## Duties
- Lead engaging and dynamic fitness classes in a private facility for an aging but active population.
- Develop and implement effective workout programs tailored to the needs of individual clients in attendance that day. Fitness levels can vary wildly.
- Provide guidance on proper exercise techniques and form to assist clients in preventing injury. Offer multilevel options and teach to the lower level present in class.
- Create a positive and supportive environment for all participants
- Monitor participant progress and make adjustments as needed
- Maintain organization of the fitness area, cleaning is handled by other staff.
## Requirements
- Certification and experience in one or more fitness disciplines such as yoga, Zumba, Aerobics, dance, Water exercise etc.
- Strong program design skills to create challenging yet safe workouts
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to ensure exercises are performed correctly and safely
- Experience in disciplines like Pilates, cycling, or gym training is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate others
This position requires an unpaid 45 min audition class prior to hiring and has room for growth. Classes are all outdoors and performed during the daytime before 3pm and after 9 am. One weekend class is required.
