FLOOR TECHNICIAN

Job Description

Are you an experienced Floor Technician who takes pride in delivering exceptional results? We're looking for dependable, motivated professionals with commercial floor care experience to help maintain a clean, safe, and polished environment at one of the world's busiest airports.

In this role, you'll be responsible for restoring and maintaining a variety of hard and carpeted flooring using specialized commercial equipment. If you have experience operating floor machines and enjoy seeing the immediate results of your work, we'd love to hear from you.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Operate commercial floor care equipment, including:

o T-7 Ride-On Floor Scrubber

o Side-by-Side Auto Scrubber

o High-Speed Buffer/Burnisher

o Carpet Extractor

· Perform routine and restorative floor maintenance, including scrubbing, buffing, burnishing, stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction.

· Clean and maintain hard floor surfaces to company and customer quality standards.

· Identify flooring conditions and determine the appropriate cleaning method and equipment.

· Maintain and inspect equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

· Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.

· Spot clean glass, windows, and other surfaces as needed.

· Maintain supply levels and notify supervisors when materials or equipment require attention.

· Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.

· Assist with training new team members on floor care procedures and equipment operation as assigned.

· Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service while working in public areas.

Required Qualifications

· Previous experience as a commercial Floor Technician or in commercial floor maintenance.

· Demonstrated experience operating commercial floor equipment, including:

o T-7 Ride-On Scrubber

o Side-by-Side Auto Scrubber

o High-Speed Buffer/Burnisher

o Carpet Extractor

· Knowledge of floor care techniques, including scrubbing, buffing, burnishing, stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction.

· Ability to safely operate commercial cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer guidelines.

· Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

· Reliable, self-motivated, and results-driven.

· Professional communication and teamwork skills.

· Ability to successfully pass a ten-year felony fingerprint background check required for airport badging.

Physical Requirements

· Stand and walk for up to 10-hour shifts on hard and uneven surfaces.

· Frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, twist, push, pull, and reach.

· Lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly.

· Operate commercial floor care equipment for extended periods.

· Perform repetitive movements involving hands, wrists, elbows, and shoulders.

· Work safely with cleaning chemicals and floor maintenance products.

· Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

Salary : $16 - $18
