Job Summary:
As a Systems Administrator at Corporate Payroll Services, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our IT infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of technologies, manage systems, and collaborate with a diverse group of IT professionals. Key Responsibilities:
- Network Administration: Design, configure, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and optimal performance.
- Server Management: Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers, including hardware and software installations, patches, and updates.
- User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and offer timely solutions.
- Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data, including firewalls, access controls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Virtualization: Help manage virtualization platform, to optimize server resources and improve scalability.
- Hardware and Software Procurement: Assist in the selection and procurement of IT hardware and software, ensuring they meet the organization's needs.
- Documentation: Maintain and update documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures for reference and training.
- Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively optimize infrastructure for peak efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT professionals, Developers, and professionals in other departments to address cross-functional IT challenges.
- Manage IT equipment inventory, IT assets, and in-house systems management.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Other projects or tasks assigned by the IT Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2 years of relevant work experience in IT and networking.
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator with a strong emphasis on networking.
- Proficiency in network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall configuration.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux server administration and virtualization technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective end-user support and team collaboration.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and experience with security tools and practices.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network , MCSE) are a plus.
