Inventory & Allocation Planner II, Hybrid, Kerrville, TX

Job Summary

Responsible to maximize sales and return on inventory investment through the execution and analysis of system-supported processes aimed at placing the right product in the right place at the right time in a predictable and repeatable fashion. Participates in departmental short, mid, and long-range sales growth planning based on analysis of current trends and company-wide goals. Provides guidance on processes and manages inventory or stocking strategies and assists with the direction of priorities to effectively place products throughout an Omni-channel environment to achieve optimal customer service levels and maximize James Avery sales.

This is a Hybrid role with a minimum of two days per week onsite in Kerrville, TX.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

•Inventory Management: Manage a segment of the omni-channel inventory for finished products, including the execution of inventory strategies, analysis, and recommendations. Oversee day-to-day allocation and replenishment operations to ensure optimal service levels as required.

•Assortment Planning: Execute assortment strategies for existing and new store planning for store openings and closures in collaboration with interdepartmental teams.

•Exception Management: Review and execute store/channel level exception plans for marketing campaigns, regional needs, visual merchandising, and overall inventory strategy. Assist Inventory and Allocation Planner I’s with execution of tasks and guidance.

•Data Analysis and Special Projects: Develop an understanding of channel, market, cluster, store, and regional level performance through data analysis. Apply insights to support business growth and evolve allocation strategies. Collect and analyze data for special projects.

•System Enhancements: Review allocation and replenishment rules to maintain system settings and operational integrity. Independently propose and implement system enhancements to improve performance, solve issues, and evaluate functional effectiveness. Develop training materials as necessary.

•Cross-Functional Collaboration: Maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and serve as a liaison on stocking strategies, stock levels, and data requests.

•Channel Management: Manage channel-specific replenishment, visual merchandising fixture displays, and initial NPI replenishment. Assist the DRP team to correct issues identified through exception reporting.

•Replenishment Coordination: Oversee replenishment runs as needed and coordinate with the Distribution Center leadership on capacity requirements versus availability. Adjust replenishment quantities based on Supply Chain constraints.

•Inventory Requirements Planning: Assist the planning and communication of inventory requirements within Supply Chain and cross-functional teams. Manage inventory projections and adapt to business requirements, exceptions, and peak season processes.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

•Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field; or equivalent combination of education/experience.

•3 years of inventory planning, supply chain management or relevant experience.

•Experience in planning and analysis with ability to collect and evaluate data to identify relationships and formulate recommendations. 

•Knowledge of inventory management and strategy.

•Database management knowledge and practical applications.

•Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas such as VLOOKUP’s, sum functions, linking sheets, creating charts, and pivot tables, And/Or operators, etc.).

•Intermediate mathematical understanding and ability to calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, percentages, rations and proportions to practical situations.

•Ability to travel to various work locations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

•Experience working with merchandising and/or marketing functions.

•Experience in Oracle planning tools.

•Knowledge with BI reporting tool capability.
