Our client, a global manufacturing organization, is seeking a Plant Controller to serve as the financial leader for its Ashtabula facility while supporting two additional manufacturing locations. This is not a back-office accounting role—it is a true business partnership position working side-by-side with the Plant President and Operations leadership team.

What You'll Be Doing
- Serve as the financial business partner to the Plant President and Operations leadership team
- Lead all plant accounting, cost accounting, inventory, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities
- Analyze manufacturing performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive profitability initiatives
- Provide meaningful financial insights that support operational decision-making
- Lead monthly close, variance analysis, internal controls, audits, and compliance activities
- Develop and mentor accounting and finance staff
- Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing operation
- Travel quarterly to two additional plant locations (Ohio and Toronto)
What We're Looking For
- Manufacturing accounting and finance experience
- Strong cost accounting expertise in a plant environment
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Experience partnering directly with operations and plant leadership
- ERP experience (SAP preferred)
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Excellent communication and business partnering skills

📍 Ashtabula, Ohio
🏠 Hybrid Schedule: 4 days onsite / 1 day remote
✈ Approximately 10–15% travel (primarily quarterly visits to two additional plant locations)
