Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping Representative to join our operations team in San Clemente, CA. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the inbound and outbound logistics for IT equipment, hardware components, and field service materials. You'll ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective shipping processes that support our nationwide IT deployment and support services. Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments of IT hardware, peripherals, and related materials using UPS, FedEx, USPS, and other carriers.
- Prepare shipping labels, documentation, and customs forms for domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Inspect, pack, and label items securely to prevent damage during transit, maintaining inventory accuracy through regular audits.
- Track shipments in real-time, resolve delivery issues, and communicate updates to internal teams and clients.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and field technicians to fulfill urgent shipping requests for on-site IT installations and repairs.
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse/shipping area and operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, scanners).
- Collaborate with the customer service and IT operations teams to ensure seamless support for client projects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations; IT or electronics handling experience a plus.
- Familiarity with shipping software (e.g., ShipStation, UPS WorldShip) and inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel for tracking and reporting).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
